Today, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Cowboys CB Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones indefinitely for violating the NFL’s conduct policy. Jones has been on thin ice since being reinstated from a year-long suspension before this season. This recent suspension is due to the late night fight Jones got in with his personal bodyguard in which police were called, but no charges were filed. Jones’ case will be reevaluated after Dallas’ November 16 game, making this at least a four game suspension, with the ultimate length decided after 11/16.

After hearing this news, as well as being dealt multiple injuries over the last week, Dallas has been looking at making trades before today’s deadline. Lions’ Wide Receiver Roy Williams is apparently on the Dallas radar, although the Lions are slow to make a move as they currently have no general manager. Detroit…I’m currently without a job, and I’d be happy to relocate…

- Game 1 was a pitching showcase early, but then Derek Lowe fell off and the Phillies hit a couple of “Philadelphia Home Runs” to pull out the victory. Tonight, Chad Billingsley takes the hill for the Dodgers to try and send this series to LA tied.

8:30 PM – MLB ALCS Game 1 on TBS (Red Sox @ Rays)
- Which AL East team will go to the World Series this year? Vegas says the Rays, history says the Red Sox, I say… Red Sox. Yes, it’s happening.

11:00 PM – ShoXC on Showtime
- Undefeated heavyweight phenom Dave Herman main events again Kerry Schall, and former The Ultimate Fighter almost-contestant jason Guida makes his Elite debut.

Saturday, October 11

12:00 PM – Red River Rivalry on ABC (Oklahoma vs Texas)
- The #1 and #5 teams in the country, respectively, battle in Dallas in the annual Red River (Can’t say Shootout because it’s too violent) Rivalry game. This will start the sports day right with a tough Big 12 battle.

9:00 PM – UFC 87: Seek & Destroy on SPIKE
- Brock Lesnar vs Heath Herring in the fight that sent Lesnar into a title fight next month, plus a Welterweight title bout pitting Georges St Pierre vs Jon Fitch.

Sunday, October 12

4:15 PM – Cowboys @ Cardinals on FOX
- Most of you will get this game nationally, and if you’d like to see which games you get each week, check out NFL Coverage Maps. I think this is the most important NFL game of the weekend, and wouldn’t be shocked to see Arizona upset. Dallas is coming off a horrible week for their secondary, and Arizona loves to throw that ball around.

10:00 PM – Entourage on HBO
- Season 5 has been a pretty good season so far, with changing dynamics between each character. Sunday’s episode, titled ‘Bye Bye Birdie’, teases that Ari will take to the golf course in an attempt to salvage Vince’s film career, which has hit more turbulence this season.
